Base Pay Range $78,400.00/yr - $107,800.00/yr
Responsibilities
Initiates, negotiates, and executes physician, hospital, and other provider contracts and agreements for the State of Mississippi.
Communicates contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers; analyzes the financial impact of contracts and terms; maintains contracts and documentation within a tracking system.
Assists with identifying and recruiting providers based on network composition and needs; influences department strategy; makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues.
Qualifications
Required:
3+ years of experience servicing or negotiating provider contracts.
Experience communicating and collaborating with external clients (providers, etc.).
Proficiency in analyzing, understanding, and communicating the financial impact of contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience with Value Based Contracting.
Live within the region (LA, AL, KY, MS, TN, IN, WI).
Work Location This role is remote/work at home. Candidates must live/work within either the Eastern or Central Time Zone and are preferred in the region (LA, AL, KY, MS, TN, IN, WI).
Home Office Requirements
Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps (wireless, wired cable or DSL suggested).
Satellite, cellular, or microwave connections are allowed only if approved by leadership.
Employees living in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive bi‑weekly payment for internet expense.
Humana will provide telephone equipment appropriate to meet business requirements for the position/job.
Dedicated workspace free of interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
Travel Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 hours per week.
