What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Acquire and grow new public sector accounts with a hunter‑focused approach
Sell the Zoom One platform emphasizing Voice, PBX, and Contact Center solutions
Build trusted relationships with executives and IT leaders in government and education sectors
Develop and execute a comprehensive coverage plan for the Great Lakes region
Navigate complex procurement processes and manage long public sector sales cycles
What is Required (Qualifications):
5+ years of successful Account Executive experience with consistent quota attainment
Experience selling into the Public Sector / SLED (State, Local, Education)
Strong background in UCaaS / SaaS / Cloud sales, particularly in Voice and Contact Center
Experience managing government procurement and contracting cycles
Residency in the Great Lakes region (Chicago, IL strongly preferred)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Familiarity with government contracting vehicles (e.g., NASPO, state or education consortiums)
Knowledge of competitive UCaaS/voice ecosystems (Cisco, Avaya, AWS, Microsoft, Amazon)
Success in multi‑product SaaS environments (UCaaS + CCaaS + collaboration tools)
Experience working with and through channel partners
