About the Role The Product Development Senior Associate will coordinate and maintain day‑to‑day development procedures for the complete collection of bead and craft kits across all accounts and customers. Working with the Product Development team, you will learn the entire product development process from initial design through prototype development and bulk production. You will collaborate with merchandising, design, and production teams, and communicate with overseas factories on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
Own the A‑Z product development for the complete offering of bead and craft kits.
Communicate design, material, and details to vendors and ensure samples are ready for market meetings.
Collect and monitor development and production schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
Support Product Development management in cost engineering, margin management, and sample timing.
Ensure design, function, and quality goals of all bead and craft kit products are met.
Establish strong working relationships with cross‑functional teams to ensure product success.
Continuously evaluate and support the evolution of the product development process through team education and process change.
Bring a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and efficiency while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously.
Stay knowledgeable about industry standards and trends.
Work onsite at our Manhattan office 4–5 days per week.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field (preferred).
3–4+ years of experience in jewelry, crafts, and/or children’s toys product development (required).
Thorough understanding of the design and development process from inception through production.
Expertise in jewelry, craft, or toy factory best practices and capabilities.
Knowledge of overseas markets and materials to source the right materials at the right price.
Strong initiative, multitasking ability, proactive troubleshooting, and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment.
A genuine passion for creating amazing products at the right price, demonstrated through your work.
Benefits & Compensation
Salary range: $75,000–$80,000, adjusted for location, skills, background, and experience.
