Job Title Distribution Designer/Engineer
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Distribution Designer/Engineer to join our team and contribute to utility‑scale projects with a focus on distribution. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting transformer replacements, retrofits, and other related tasks. This is an open‑ended contract position offering appropriate benefits.
Responsibilities
Support utility‑scale distribution projects, including transformer replacements and retrofits.
Utilize proprietary software such as Maximo and BOUD effectively.
Collaborate with the distribution team on various engineering tasks.
Ensure designs meet industry standards and project requirements.
Provide technical expertise in distribution design and engineering tasks.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation.
Experience in distribution design and drafting.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
Understanding of power delivery and utility design.
Experience with Maximo software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with GIS and civil engineering concepts.
Knowledge of high voltage systems.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Strong communication skills.
Work Environment The work environment is based in a large, beautifully situated office in downtown Orlando, opposite Lake Eola. The office offers parking, with plenty of nearby dining and entertainment options. The team consists of 10‑12 members within a large engineering office that houses multiple disciplines, including Architecture & Engineering and Electrical & Electronics. Hybrid work flexibility is available, and there are ample growth opportunities within the company. The dress code is business casual.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 – $30.00/hr.
