Construction Manager About The Job

Enterris Associates is a trusted, full-service consulting firm specializing in program and project management, risk analysis and mitigation, claims support, compliance, and dispute resolution. We partner with the public sector and utility clients to drive the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects. Our advisory services include testing and inspection, contract administration and oversight, compliance monitoring, and comprehensive construction and project management — all tailored to help our clients navigate challenges and achieve their goals with confidence. Description

At Enterris Associates, we're not just building structures, we're crafting legacies. As a dynamic, client-focused firm, we thrive on innovation, collaboration, and turning complex projects into seamless successes. If you're someone who loves the thrill of overseeing every phase of a project from start to finish, while juggling budgets, teams, and tight deadlines, this role is your playground. In this hands‑on position, you'll be the heartbeat of our educational projects, managing, overseeing, and coordinating every facet of the pre‑construction, bid and award, construction, and close‑out phases. Picture yourself diving into pre‑construction documents, spotting opportunities for improvement, and sharing your insights with designers to ensure everything aligns perfectly. You'll keep a close eye on the finish line, too—monitoring project close‑out, securing certifications from the Division of State Architects (DSA), and wrapping up finances so we can celebrate a job well done. Reporting to upper management will be part of your rhythm: planning, organizing, and delivering clear reports on project status and progress, keeping everyone in the loop and on track. You'll be our go‑to connector, liaising with public agencies for off‑site compliance and syncing with project staff to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. Budgets and schedules? You'll own them, balancing the client's high standards with real‑time monitoring to keep things on budget and on time. Day‑to‑day, you'll guide contractors through their paces—reviewing schedules, submittals, and responses to inquiries via Requests for Clarifications (RFCs) and other docs. You'll scrutinize substitution requests to uphold specs and client needs, negotiate change orders for fair pricing, and assess schedule impacts to keep momentum going. Payments? You'll handle the flow for contractors, architects, engineers, and more, while administering professional service agreements and coordinating the client's delivery of fixtures, furniture, and equipment (FF&E). It's a role that demands sharp instincts, quick thinking, and a passion for problem‑solving, rewarding those who turn challenges into triumphs. We're looking for a proactive leader with a knack for detail and a collaborative spirit. If this sounds like the kind of adventure you're ready for, we'd love to hear from you. Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field—your foundation for tackling big builds. Ten (10) years of full‑time paid professional experience in construction and/or a mix of project and construction management, focusing on commercial and/or public/educational facility projects. Of those, at least three (3) years with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects valued over $10M—think high‑stakes leadership that turns vision into reality. Hands‑on design‑build experience, where you've bridged design and construction for seamless results. Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM), bringing cutting‑edge tech to life on the job site. Experience with LEED‑certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS), championing sustainable, high‑performance designs. Familiarity with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes, ensuring everything meets the highest standards. Knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations (OSHA 30 minimum), keeping teams safe and compliant. A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board, or as a Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, or a valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI)—your ticket to leading with credibility.
