Adams, Inc. is a family owned, value based organization specializing in home backup power solutions. We are seeking an experience Electrician to join our Wausau, WI team!

In this role, you will be responsible for executing the electrical components of generator installations in residential settings. This role ensures installations meet industry standards, pass inspections, and are completed efficiently and safely. The Electrician collaborates with the Production Manager and installation teams to deliver high-quality service and uphold Adams, Inc.'s core values.

The pay for this position is based on licensure and experience. We are seeking a licensed electrician with experience installing transfer switches and working with gas piping - primarily to install home backup up power generators into residences. Pay and compensation will be directly related to relevant experience.

Qualifications

Residential Journeyman Electrician License (or higher) or completed at least 3-years, and 3,000 hours of qualifying electrical work.

Gas Piping experience is strongly preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

12+ months of generator installation experience preferred.

Generac certifications are a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities (as described by our Core Values): Integrity Ensure all electrical installations meet code and pass inspections.

Maintain accurate documentation of materials used and installation steps.

Uphold safety and ethical standards on job sites.

People Collaborate with installation teams and communicate effectively with the Production Manager.

Support team members by assisting with generator placement and trenching when needed.

Partnership Coordinate with project leads to ensure electrical components are ready and available.

Submit material usage and checklist updates to the Installation Lead.

Attitude Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented mindset on job sites.

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during installations.

Excellence Perform high-quality electrical work that meets industry standards.

Ensure trailers are properly stocked with electrical components before each installation.

Working Conditions Field environment with moderate to loud noise levels; hearing protection required.

Frequent travel to site locations; occasional evening and weekend work.

Physical demands include lifting up to 75 lbs., trenching, and working in various weather conditions.

Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule The schedule for this role is primarily Monday – Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs/schedules of our customers/clients.
