Overview This is a licensed position requiring the SIE, Series 6, 63, Life and Health. Premier Services is dedicated to helping mass affluent clientele make real financial progress by understanding and planning for what comes next. A BMO Senior Premier Relationship Manager manages and grows an assigned portfolio of mass affluent clients, partnering with branch locations and a team of financial advisors to identify new opportunities and deliver a differentiated client experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the customer’s relationship manager, providing personalized attention to uncover financial needs and goals.

Act as the primary client contact to uncover financial needs and provide meaningful solutions in compliance with regulatory policies.

Collaborate with market partners, BMO partners, and the community to build relationships and deliver the desired customer experience.

Work with internal partnerships to provide comprehensive strategies and solutions for affluent customers’ financial needs.

Leverage BMO’s expertise, technology and resources to deliver tailored banking solutions, including checking, savings, and lending.

Proactively build and manage an assigned portfolio of mass affluent clients across multiple branch locations.

Use a consultative sales process, acting as client’s trusted advisor and primary point of contact.

Identify sales opportunities, make recommendations on products, pricing, and services, and link customers to business partner experts.

Achieve sales targets by acquiring new assets from existing portfolios and new client acquisition.

Review credit applications, recommend remedies to maintain acceptable asset and credit quality, and conduct quality customer review meetings for retention and expansion.

Identify prospects through relationship building efforts and two-way referral relationships with law, accounting and other centers of influence.

Provide individual and group training to branch personnel to enhance knowledge and skills around mass affluent clients.

Educate clients about available digital banking options and guide use of digital/self‑serve technologies.

Liaise between clients and various departments to provide product support and solve problems within policy constraints.

Follow security and safeguarding procedures, applying due diligence per BMO policies and regulatory standards for fraud prevention.

Maintain confidentiality of customer and BMO information per internal policies.

Identify risks and take appropriate action, documenting regulatory requirements and maintaining operational integrity.

Monitor exception reports, taking action to remove exceptions.

Support strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service, working independently on complex tasks.

Qualifications

Typically between 4-6 years of relevant experience; post‑secondary degree preferred but not required.

7+ years of experience in a financial services organization with knowledge of banking products, pricing, profitability.

Required: SIE Exam, Series 6, Series 63, Life & Health licenses (if not currently held, required within six months of role start date).

Advanced understanding of deposit, loan (including mortgage), cash flow analysis, lending processes, legal & regulatory requirements, and bank policies.

Excellent understanding of brokerage and insurance products.

Excellent knowledge of business services: retirement plans, business banking, insurance, succession planning.

Excellent understanding of personal trust and investment management.

Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.

Salary $57,500.00 – $106,500.00 (Salaried). Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and may include commission structure. For commission roles the listed salary is the expected target for the first year. Full compensation includes performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and benefits like health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, retirement savings plans.
