ambition. Description: ABOUT THE ROLE This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the mobile equipment fleet in a state of readiness. Performs vehicle/mobile equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, repairs and replaces damaged parts, and informs supervisors of vehicle conditions that could impact production. Prepares all required daily/weekly plant operating reports. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Tests mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications. Repairs and replaces damaged, worn parts. Operates and inspects heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Uses engine diagnostic equipment to determine required repairs. Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Cleans, lubricates, and performs routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Examines parts for damage and wear using micrometers or gauges. Schedules maintenance and keeps service records. Reads and interprets manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Analyzes information to evaluate and solve problems. Stays updated on new technology through training and technical schools. Follows all safety protocols, including OSHA and MSHA requirements. Works shifts as required. Performs other duties as assigned. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Work Experience: At least 3 years servicing relevant heavy industrial equipment. Travel: Local travel required. Additional Requirements: Commitment to safety and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety, and adherence to PPE protocols, including respirator use where applicable.
