This position is based at Stryker’s Portage, Michigan manufacturing plant. You will be onsite in Portage, MI 4 days a week and will partner with Directors, Managers and frontline leaders to enhance the work environment, employee relations, retention, and business processes.
What You Will Do As the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner you will be responsible for executing the site talent strategy and delivering HR partnership across the organization.
Human Resources Expertise
Deliver HR partnership through workforce planning, talent management, performance management, employee relations and the orchestration of other HR services.
Implement change based on proven change‑management techniques.
Apply policies and procedures across the organization; interpret both policies and changes to policy.
Seek ways to proactively improve organizational processes and outcomes; implement solutions that align with global HR best practices.
Relationship Management
Facilitate difficult interactions among stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes; resolve escalated conflicts.
Build consensus and settle disputes on HR policy and practice decisions.
Business Acumen
Maintain broad-based knowledge of the organization and its operations; provide business partnership to Leaders and Directors.
Execute HR business strategies to drive key business results and provide guidance.
Demonstrate working knowledge of the labor market and its relationship to organizational success.
Consultation
Partner with managers and HR to proactively implement business solutions, utilizing HR expertise and perspective.
Coaches managers, directors and business leaders on HR and business‑related issues.
Aligns solutions with business‑unit HR strategy and advocates for implementation.
Leadership
Execute programs, policies and procedures to drive an engaged and performing organizational culture.
Implement and deliver solutions and interventions to address issues of retention, change management, employee engagement and leadership development.
HR Insights
Interpret data and make recommendations; ask critical questions to evaluate data and gather, analyze and present data to stakeholders.
Analyze root causes of work‑environment issues; manage interventions and solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
What You Need Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of work experience or 16+ years of total work experience.
Previous HR or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of business‑facing HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or related experience.
Experience in multiple HR disciplines or client groups.
