Requirements for this position include a professional degree in architecture or related field and at least three years of professional experience in architecture or related industry in the United States. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Fully competent in the principles and practices of modern architectural design and delivery
Strong design sensibility and commitment to sustainable design; LEED accreditation is a plus
Ability to generate, develop, critically evaluate, and present architectural concepts throughout all phases of the design process
Ability to plan, review, analyze, and make recommendations regarding designs, plans, schedules, and specifications
Responsibility for investigating, evaluating, and developing specific technical and design solutions
General understanding of construction methods and materials
Working knowledge of building and accessibility codes
Working knowledge of design documentation, architectural detailing, and building systems/assemblies
Proficiency with BIM/3D modeling software including Revit and SketchUp, the Adobe Creative Suite, and hand sketching
Ability to work with clients, project consultants, and in-house project teams
Strong written, graphic, and oral communication skills
Note that some Group 4 projects offer opportunities for work-related travel, including overnight travel to project sites.
