Community Coordinator – Residential Life Saint Joseph's College is hiring a Community Coordinator – Residential Life to support the Department of Student Engagement & Residential Living. The role includes Resident Advisor supervision, a positive safe student experience, and serving as Conduct Hearing Officer.

Responsibilities

Supervise Resident Assistants (RAs) and conduct RA staff meetings.

Facilitate recruitment and interview new RA hires.

Handle RA and student concerns including policy violations, mental health, Title IX, etc.

Participate in on‑call rotation and coordinate with Campus Safety and Counseling Center.

Conduct surveys and gather feedback on residence life quality.

Design and implement summer and mid‑year training programs.

Respond to student and parent emails, phone calls, and office interactions.

Engage with students on campus, maintain presence in residence halls and common areas.

Participate in New Student Orientation Program Committee and day‑of orientation tasks.

Manage social media and email accounts of the Residential Living department.

Serve as Conduct Hearing Officer: conduct interviews and apply sanctions under student code of conduct.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Previous student life experience desired.

Valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record, and completion of SJC driver training program.

Schedule

Work 35‑40 hours per week; evening and nighttime hours expected.

Facilitate staff meetings, respond to student issues, and attend student programs.

Coordinate with the Director of Student Engagement & Residential Living to create a balanced schedule.
