We are currently searching for an experienced
Senior Proposal Coordinator
to support our Program Management & Disaster Services Group nationwide.
What you’ll be doing:
Assisting the team with winning new business by supporting the proposal development process.
Developing, writing, editing, and proofreading presentations, project descriptions, staff resumes, and marketing collateral.
Applying creativity and strategic insight while leading brainstorming, storyboarding, and other strategy development sessions.
Updating information in project descriptions/resumes/proposals/qualifications for the firm’s database.
Work with graphic designers on covers, page layouts, and other graphic elements.
Preparing teams for presentations and client interviews.
Conduct market research and identify new opportunities/projects for Volkert
Participate and may coordinate industry events and conferences to represent Volkert across all client bases and increase Volkert’s brand recognition

What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree – English, Communications, History, Marketing, or Journalism preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in writing proposals in response to owner RFPs/RFQs in the engineering field
Aptitude for managing multiple, concurrent proposals from pre‑advertisement through submission, working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Ability to write clearly and succinctly with a high level of accuracy, using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation
Professional interpersonal skills with ability to work with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Must be detail oriented and self‑motivated
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; graphics skills and programs a plus
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and Deltek is strongly desired
Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state‑specific guidelines
Valid driver’s license
A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
