Job Description Southeastern Traffic Supply (STS) is a traffic control company servicing both Georgia and Florida, providing flagging, equipment rental, and MOT plans, permitting, and road safety services. We exist to save lives by improving the safety of our roadways for our Employees, Customers & the Traveling Public. The Assistant Area Branch Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of STS through the management of employees and equipment. The Assistant Area Manager will ensure the quality of standards by checking and maintaining traffic control devices and equipment prior to projects. This position reports directly to the Area (Branch) Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Dispatch employees to assigned jobs with the proper equipment.
Supervise the assigning of dates, times, and resources for the scheduling of new projects.
Provide training of STS policies and procedures to team members.
Monitor and submit employee hours for payroll purposes.
Identify high performing employees for promotions and internal job opportunity advancements.
Prioritize safe work practices by distributing personal protective equipment (PPE) and verbally reinforcing safety standards.
Assist with any other tasks as determined by the Area manager.
Experience, Skills, & Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent GED
3‑5 years of experience in managing employees and projects
Experience in the traffic control industry (preferred)
Ability to use advanced critical thinking skills.
Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks and confirm completion.
Acute attention to detail
Excellent professional communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Working Environment
General office environment: Works generally at a desk in a well‑lighted, air‑conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.
Occasional site visits: Travel to work sites occasionally for audits, will include standing in different weather conditions.
