Presales Consultant (gn) ITAM ServiceNow
SoftwareOne – Full‑time position with a Mid‑Senior level requirement.
Responsibilities
Scoping and Sizing Opportunities
– Collaborate closely with the sales team and customers to evaluate offers, determine scope and size of business opportunities, and ensure alignment with customer expectations and organizational capabilities.
Solution Design and Proposal Development
– Design customized solutions that meet customer requirements and ServiceNow ITAM offerings, present them (including demos), define margins in coordination with Sales and Delivery teams, and create comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs).
Maintenance of Solution Collaterals
– Build and maintain a repository of solution documentation such as case studies, white papers, presentations, and other relevant materials; collaborate with marketing to develop persuasive sales collateral.
Market Research and Insights
– Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies; provide insights to the local or global center of excellence to enhance the solution portfolio.
Sales Support and Collaboration
– Offer technical guidance and support the sales team throughout the sales cycle, from initial engagement to solution and proposal development; participate in strategic planning sessions to contribute recommendations for business growth and expansion.
Qualifications
Proven ability to understand complex business problems and translate them into technology solutions.
Experience creating software sourcing solutions and positioning DSC and ITAM portfolios.
Capability to draft service contracts and work descriptions based on agreed scope and desired business outcomes.
Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques with an effective contribution to the sales cycle.
Skill in incorporating appropriate project‑management methodologies into proposal development.
Knowledge of Software Asset Management, including compliance and savings objectives.
Solid product knowledge of ServiceNow and Flexera/Snow, and their implementation and operation within a SAM Managed Service.
Understanding of licensing impacts of mergers, acquisitions, and spin‑offs.
Ability to build long‑term stakeholder relationships from IT Procurement to the C‑level.
Track record as an IT Asset Management business consultant, lifecycle management, and licensing procurement.
Experience conducting presales workshops for Software Asset Management or Software Sourcing Services/Digital Supply Chain.
In-depth understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings in technology services.
Excellent German language skills and solid English proficiency.
