as a Consulting Utility Forester. This full‑time, regular position is ideal for professionals with experience in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or related disciplines. The role is open to both entry‑level and seasoned candidates.
Responsibilities
Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
Discuss and negotiate line‑clearance crew access issues.
Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and utility customers.
Minimum Requirements
2‑ to 4‑year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or closely related field; or high school diploma plus 2 years of experience in utility vegetation management or similar field.
Strong tree identification skills.
ISA Arborist and applicator license preferred.
Ability to work independently in all weather conditions.
Utility vegetation management experience a plus.
Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with GIS integration for data collection preferred.
Self‑motivated, organized, and production‑oriented.
Comfortable working independently and managing a geographic area for all vegetation‑related activities.
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders, utility customers, and line‑clearance vendors.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multitasking and time‑management abilities.
Willingness to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
Valid driver’s license.
