Job Description Turner & Townsend

is seeking a

Construction Manager

to join our team on a full-time basis in El Segundo, CA.

The Construction Manager will serve as the lead representative of the owner for a landmark Refinery for a large Oil & Gas client. This is a seismic strengthening project. This full-time role is needed on‑site 4x a week.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate pre-construction and construction efforts for phased seismic upgrades of an occupied Oil & Gas Refinery setting.

Oversee schedule, budget, quality assurance, safety, and code compliance efforts.

Implementconstruction management procedures and prepare official communications.

Support environmental documentation (CEQA/NEPA), constructability reviews, GMP development, and field inspections.

Ensure effective stakeholder communication and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Conduct regular project status meetings and provide detailed progress reports to senior management.

Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project challenges.

Foster a collaborative and productive work environment among all project team members.

SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years’ experience as a project/construction manager, with proven success leading seismic retrofit projects.

Demonstrated experience in CMAR delivery and leading consultant teams.

Expertise in negotiating contracts and managing change orders.

Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Preferred

5 plus years of real estate or Oil & Gas or refinery experience.

Additional Information The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-170K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
