What You Will Contribute To OHM Advisors As a Graduate Civil Engineer focused on Site Design, you’ll be part of an innovative team shaping how communities grow. You’ll support projects ranging from commercial and residential developments to parks, campuses, and municipal facilities—bringing creative, people‑focused design solutions to life.
Your Responsibilities
Assist in designing site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management systems, and utility infrastructure.
Support preparation of construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and permitting documents.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop and refine design drawings and models.
Perform calculations for earthwork, drainage, and utility systems under senior engineer supervision.
Collaborate with architects, planners, and other disciplines to deliver integrated site design solutions.
Participate in site visits and field reviews to gain firsthand project insight.
Help coordinate project tasks to meet deadlines and maintain organized design documentation.
Contribute to internal design reviews and team discussions with creative ideas and technical input.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET‑accredited program.
Experience or coursework related to site development, grading, and utilities.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (or strong interest in developing expertise).
Internship or co‑op experience in site design or land development strongly preferred.
Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
Enthusiasm for community‑focused design and a desire to grow within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
