Location Western Branch Diesel – Portsmouth, VA
Base Pay$30.00/hr - $45.00/hr Hiring Bonus Up to $5,000 DOE
Western Branch Diesel, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for all levels of Marine Technician/ Mechanic at our location in Portsmouth, VA. This individual can be looking to start their career or have previous experience as a technician. Indel Power Group is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as mtu, Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Freightliner, Western Star, Isuzu, Autocar, and Crane Carrier to name a few. Key Responsibilities
Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, and complete repairs to promptly address and resolve customer vehicle or equipment concerns
Commitment to safety and cleanliness
Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes

Physical Demands Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more) may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the Technician will frequently use hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, or twist to perform repairs and inspections. Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. A technician may work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes.
