Title: Senior Manager of Attorney Relations
Location: NYC, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C.
Compensation: $145,000-$180,000/year
Base pay range: $145,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Salary depends on experience and skills as discussed with recruiter.

Must haves / Job Description The Senior Manager of Attorney Relations will play a vital role in the career development, progression, and retention of the firm’s high-caliber attorney talent. The role oversees attorney evaluation, feedback, advising/sponsorship, coaching, promotions, compensation, and career transitions, fostering a positive work environment and long-term engagement.
Essential Functions
Execute and enhance legal talent initiatives related to attorney career progression, continuously improving firm offerings.
Oversee and refine performance management processes to maintain 99% participation among firm lawyers.
Manage and further develop Career Development Advisor Program and Integration Liaison programs for associates.
Serve as trusted advisor, coach, and resource for attorneys on career progression, goals, and challenges.
Collaborate with Practice Group Leaders and Professional Development to coordinate review and feedback criteria.
Conduct stay and exit interviews with attorneys and analyze trends to improve engagement and retention.
Assist with associate compensation and lawyer promotion processes.
Deliver training and developmental programming for new partners and other initiatives.
Coordinate outplacement coaching for attorneys transitioning out of the firm.
Serve as resource and point of contact for the Associates Committee.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Work additional hours as needed.
Skills / Qualifications
5+ years experience in a law firm.
JD with prior experience as an associate in an Am Law 100 firm or coaching/HR certification preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, research, analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to self‑direct, manage multiple priorities, analyse needs, and implement solutions.
Ability to handle confidential matters with attention to detail.
Strong technical and computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, Excel required; PowerPoint and viDesktop a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment.
