Position Overview The Employee Relations Partner serves as a direct point of contact for a specified business area leadership group and drives advanced and specialized performance management‑related projects and initiatives. With minimal guidance, the ER Partner maintains a neutral position and consistent approach to DigiKey's policies and procedures in order to mitigate risk and align work to meet business needs. The role provides strong partnership on performance management, disciplinary processes, restructuring activity, legal issues, investigations and conflict management. The role also promotes a positive culture within the business.

Responsibilities

Executes business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy

Experience developing and driving cross‑functional goals and objectives

Develops, revises, interprets and implements policies

Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues relating to the assigned business unit or program

Manages and escalates complex leave cases, reasonable accommodation, employment law, TPA partnerships, case management and return‑to‑work matters

Ensures assigned business unit or program is in compliance with established policies and procedures

Assists in the planning and organizing of the assigned business unit or program

Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports as requested by immediate supervisor

Answers non‑routine requests for information on policy interpretation

Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes to improve workflow in the assigned business unit or program

Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects

Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Works on special projects

Leads special and cross‑functional project teams

Presents training sessions related to the assigned business unit or program as needed

Subject Matter Expert in all things HR at DigiKey – systems, tools, processes; may mentor new ER staff

Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration/Management or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience

8+ Years Employee Relations or other relevant work experiences

Candidate is well versed in the various functions of DigiKey, how they work together and the industry in which DigiKey operates, as well as the impact and responsibility DigiKey has to the community it operates in

Candidate is a strong representative of DigiKey brand and its principles

Candidate has a strong understanding of the various functions of DigiKey and the industry in which DigiKey operates

Candidate has strong knowledge of the DigiKey brand and its principles

Preferred Qualifications

4+ Years DigiKey experience in an employee relations or related role

HR related certifications such as SHRM‑CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR

Tools/Systems/Software

Workday

Physical Requirements

Generally spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as keyboard, mouse and screen

Generally spend the workday performing repetitive motions that affect the hands, head and other parts of the body

Compensation The base pay range for this position is: $70,000 to $95,000. Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate's work experience in related roles; knowledge, skills, capabilities and performance; relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
