Salary Range:

$135,000 - $160,000 Annually

Position Summary:

As West Region Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for working with Engineers, End Users, Industrial & Institutional customers in our target markets. The BDM will own the relationship with consultants within their territory.

Key Responsibilities:

Position IEM advantageously within project specifications by supporting consultants with equipment layouts, system designs, and technical guidance.

Develop deep expertise in the full portfolio of IEM equipment and products.

Serve as a technical resource for Sales Engineers and National Account Managers, providing support on specification development and substitution requests.

Represent IEM at industry events, including trade shows, IEEE meetings, and vertical market conferences.

Conduct market research to identify new market opportunities and emerging customer needs.

Recommend new products or market approaches based on research insights.

Perform additional tasks or strategic initiatives as assigned by the Director of Business Development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical proposals, and specifications.

Subject Matter Expert of LV & MV switchgear and previous manufacturing experience.

Experience with complex proposals/quotations in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills are a must.

Experience with controls and PLC/HMI controls is preferred.

Experience in semiconductor and healthcare is preferred.

Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.

Experience with AutoCAD and LV equipment design is preferred.

Compensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
