Overview Nationwide seeks a dedicated associate passionate about delivering extraordinary care and helping individuals and businesses prepare for and protect their retirement. The Senior Retirement Specialist leads seminars, builds relationships, and guides teams on retirement‑plan strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop positive relationships with key employer contacts within the assigned territory.
Schedule and conduct one‑on‑one and group seminars for potential and existing participants.
Provide counseling and guidance on defined‑contribution retirement savings plans to drive sales growth.
Identify prospective new small‑case employer clients and take action to acquire new cases.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
FINRA Series 6, 63, 65 or 7, 66 licenses required; State Life and Health license also required.
Three years of related experience in financial, sales, or educational services functions.
Strong presentation and communication skills for effective seminar delivery.
Excellent relationship‑building abilities.
Leadership skills to guide and support a team of specialists.
Problem‑solving skills to address customer inquiries and improve processes.
Knowledge of defined‑contribution retirement savings plans and financial counseling.
Understanding of public‑sector benefits (457 plans, annuity, investment products).
Education Undergraduate studies in a related field (insurance, business, marketing) preferred.
License / Certification / Designation FINRA Series 6 license and life & health licenses required. Series 63 and 65 may be necessary.
Conditions
Travel within assigned territory required; may work from home.
Must have valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
Exempt from overtime eligibility.
