A client of LHH is seeking a highly skilled
Superintendent
to lead field operations for utilities projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable, growth-oriented organization with a strong reputation in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities
Assist Project Manager with documentation, layout, and scheduling.
Attend pre-construction and project kickoff meetings.
Confirm utility line locations and markings with foremen.
Coordinate equipment and material deliveries for efficiency.
Conduct regular briefings with field crews on tasks and expectations.
Ensure proper return and condition of tools and equipment post-project.
Monitor project scope and communicate changes to Project Manager.
Maintain quality standards and adherence to schedules.
Provide accurate progress prints, as-builts, and photos via Field View.
Oversee multiple job sites simultaneously.
Conduct site walks with Project Manager and clients for updates.
Enforce safety protocols, inspect excavation areas, and monitor hazardous material storage.
Ensure foremen submit trench logs, safety sheets, and time entries daily.
Communicate updates from operations meetings to field teams.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in dry utilities or electrical construction.
High School Diploma preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of underground dry utilities methods, NEC standards, and local utility specifications (SRP/APS/Century Link/Cox).
Experience operating heavy machinery and supervising crews.
Valid driver’s license required.
