Position Overview The Leasing Associate is the community’s primary sales representative and ambassador of Bellwether’s values. The role welcomes prospective residents, showcases the property’s features and benefits, and secures lease agreements from qualified applicants, all in alignment with Bellwether’s policies and Fair Housing standards.

Work Schedule On‑site, Monday‑Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Some evening or weekend hours may occasionally be required for leasing appointments.

Building Information Renton Sage Apartments – 284‑unit, garden‑style property in Renton. Funded through Low‑Income Housing Tax Credits, Bonds, WSHFC, and Amazon funding.

Your Impact Marketing responsibilities include:

Maintaining a professional, friendly leasing office atmosphere.

Responding to inquiries via the CRM – Knock system.

Posting property listings on sites such as Craigslist and Weblisters.

Inspecting and staging models and vacancies daily.

Answering phone calls and routing them appropriately.

Greeting, qualifying, and presenting the community and apartments to prospective residents.

Tracking marketing traffic sources in Yardi.

Collaborating with Site and Portfolio Managers on marketing strategies.

Evaluating vacant units to identify leasing hurdles and adjust rent or concessions as needed.

Supporting resident-service agency relationships and contract initiation on vacancies.

Leasing responsibilities include:

Managing central leasing email accounts and outreach for prospect screening.

Assisting applicants with application completion and documentation.

Explaining WSHFC income qualification guidelines and related funding restrictions.

Processing housing applications, obtaining third‑party verification, and entering data into management software.

Maintaining collaboration with Site Managers on active applications.

Completing lease paperwork, addenda, and accepting rents and deposits.

Organizing and filing reports, leases, and related documents.

Relationship building responsibilities include:

Championing the One Team culture centered on accountability, belonging, and collaboration.

Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinating events and community engagement among residents.

Championing an inclusive work environment.

Who You Are

One year of prior work experience in apartment leasing or high‑volume customer service roles.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and personal initiative.

Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Exceptional customer‑service aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and quick, tactful response to requests.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with Microsoft Office user applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Desired Qualifications

Prior apartment management or leasing experience in the industry.

Experience leasing in low‑income housing tax‑credit properties.

Experience with Fair Housing and local landlord/tenant law.

Completion of WSHFC Fundamental and Advanced training workshops.

Experience with Seattle Housing Authority Section 8 Project and Tenant‑Based programs.

Experience with Yardi or equivalent property management software.

Familiarity with service‑enriched housing programs.

Ability to build partnerships with community constituencies and social service agencies.

Experience working with social service programs for diverse populations and making appropriate referrals.

High school diploma or GED (equivalent education and experience may substitute).
