Revenue to Cash Accounting Senior Associate
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Associate to lead the execution of the Revenue to Cash accounting function within the National Office Finance Accounting team. The role includes collaborating with and supporting the development of the entry-level Revenue to Cash Associate.
What You Will Do
Understand, execute, and analyze accounting business processes for:
Revenue
Cash and Banking
Accounts Receivable
Work‑in‑process
Investments
Inner Office Charges
Sales and Use Taxes
Establish and maintain verification and review procedures to ensure business processes yield appropriate results routinely.
Execute monthly close procedures and collaborate with the Revenue‑Cash‑Facilities team on improvements and changes.
Prepare reconciliations and specific analysis for the listed accounting processes.
Assist in creating standardized accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
Help design and implement account reconciliation applications, aligning with the firm’s goal to automate reconciliations.
Learn and apply the firm’s change‑management process for practice structure changes, Workday dimension changes, and merger/acquisition activities.
Develop and use AI agents to assist with accounting business processes.
Assist in preparation of budget information for select processes, coordinating with FP&A and Managing Partners.
Maintain a superior working knowledge of Workday business processes for the above areas.
Configure, troubleshoot, and improve Workday accounting workflows and reporting tools.
Develop and generate Workday financial reports, dashboards, and analytics to support leadership decision‑making.
Collaborate with Workday teams to test bi‑annual release changes, new modules, and system enhancements.
Support Workday functionality across teams, optimizing workflows for efficient financial operations.
Leverage the platform to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Recommend automation‑focused improvements to accounting operations.
Provide training to accounting staff on Workday functionality and best practices.
Foster a collaborative, client‑focused culture within the accounting team and collaborate with cross‑functional teams for precision and informed business decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of relevant accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Certified Public Accountant
Hands‑on Workday Financials experience, including projects and revenue recognition
New York City Pay Transparency Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Total compensation and benefits include salary, group health plan benefits, 401(k), profit‑sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to adjust the salary range as business needs change.
Pay Range NY Minimum Salary (USD): $83,400 NY Maximum Salary (USD): $139,000
