Senior Mechanic - Millwright Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work

ON-SITE

with our client in

Buffalo, NY .

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and facility equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.

Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues effectively.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure timely and effective maintenance.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality procedures at all times.

Support installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.

Maintaining production machines and all facility equipment.

Performing unscheduled repairs on production equipment and all facility equipment.

Performing scheduled preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and making repair recommendations.

Detecting faulty, improper, and unsafe operating conditions.

Using hand and power tools, as well as material handling equipment.

Collaborating with maintenance and production personnel.

Complying with safety regulations.

Maintaining an organized work area and supporting product quality programs.

Benefits

Pay: $35.00 / hr

Hours: 40 hrs/Week (1st shift)

Length: Direct Placement

Qualifications Required Skills / Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of experience with Welding and fabricating.

Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical systems.

Must have at least one year recent senior or supervisory Mechanic experience.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Maintenance or Engineering.

Minimum 10 years of industrial maintenance or related experience.

Good mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing skills.

Communication proficiency (written and verbal).

Experience with a computerized maintenance management system.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to operate heavy equipment, tools, and supplies, and manipulate heavier loads with team or appropriate equipment needed.

Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and safety regulations.

Additional Information

Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

The ability to work in, on, around, over, and under fixed equipment and machinery, as well as work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding, is needed.

Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50lbs as needed.

Ability to drive and operate a forklift.
