Position Summary The Community Pharmacist Supervisor is responsible for providing safe, effective, appropriate, timely and cost‑efficient medication therapy for patients and serving as the pharmacist‑in‑charge for the hospital’s community pharmacy. This includes, but is not limited to, proper and safe distribution of medication, rational drug selection, monitoring administration and responsibility for the patient’s overall drug therapy. In addition, the manager will be responsible for legal and regulatory compliance for the community pharmacy and will assist hospital pharmacy leadership with other operational activities such as financial data review and tracking, and budget and labor management.
Qualifications
Current Active Pharmacy License with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required
Training And Experience
3 years of experience in community pharmacy OR 1 year experience as a pharmacist‑in‑charge of a community pharmacy in Texas
