The Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association depends on the commitment and dedication of its volunteers. We have a variety of opportunities to offer volunteers throughout the state of Connecticut. Volunteers help us run special events, work in our offices, deliver education and programs, act as advocates and speakers in the community, staff our helplines and run Support Groups, as examples. Our volunteers are passionate and enthusiastic members of our team without whom we could not work towards an end to the Alzheimer's disease.
Responsibilities
Invite and recruit sponsors and teams to support the
2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s®
- Eastern Connecticut (Walks take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026).
Raise awareness of the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Participate in committee meetings once a month, in person and virtual.
Create a moving event experience for participants on Walk day.
Motivate, appreciate and engage participants year‑round with phone calls and hand‑written notes.
Location Ocean Beach Park - New London, Connecticut
