Join our team as the Global Trade (GT) Interiors Technology Manager (TM), where you’ll play a pivotal role in providing expert U.S. classification guidance and leading Jurisdiction Classification (JC) and Harmonized Schedule (HS) activities for the Collins Interiors Business Unit.

What You Will Do
Interpret product information to perform Jurisdiction Classification (JC) and Harmonized Schedule (HS) analysis, assignment, and validation for Interiors products and technical data.
Develop and issue classification guidance to Interiors Classification focals, including regulatory interpretations and guidance.
Provide classification support and assistance to the Investigations and Disclosures team for investigations, self‑assessments, corrective actions, and voluntary disclosures.
Support program classification reviews for the Interiors Program Management Team.
Assist the Interiors Authorizations Team in evaluating commodities and technical data classifications with respect to export authorization requirements.
Support the development and delivery of formal and informal training for current and new classification focals within various areas of the Interiors Business.
Perform monthly Transactional Testing activities for JC and HS classifications provided by the Interiors Classification focals.
Assist in various projects and activities assigned by Central GT.
Contribute to the enhancement of the Collins classification determination tool and repository (xClass) as well as the development of the Interiors Classification Focal Network.
Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, including verbal, oral, written, and presentation abilities.
Manage multiple projects effectively by tracking plans to commitments and driving actions to fully documented closure.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with international sites to achieve project goals.
Thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on compliance and meeting customer commitments.
Travel up to 10%
What You Will Learn
Gain experience with Aerospace Interiors products used on both commercial and military aircraft.
Exposure to various Engineering and design processes and tools, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Develop an understanding of non‑US Export and Import regulations for regimes in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Qualifications (Required)
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
3+ years prior experience classifying US Export Regulations (ITAR/EAR).
3+ years prior experience classifying harmonized systems.
Qualifications (Preferred)
Prior leadership experience leading direct or indirect reports.
Expertise in U.S. export Jurisdiction and Classification and Harmonized Schedule (HS) classifications. Expertise in non‑U.S. classification regulations.
Understanding of non‑U.S. jurisdictions.
Trade compliance processes such as classifications, authorizations, compliant transfers of technical data, record‑keeping, and Global Trade systems (GTS, MKDenial, xClass, TEXPORT).
Global Trade training in Jurisdiction Classification and Harmonized Schedule Classification.
Aerospace industry experience.
Engineering or technical background.

Working Conditions Hybrid: Employees will work both onsite and offsite, with onsite time determined in partnership with your leader. Travel up to 10% of the time. Salary and Compensation The salary range for this role is $124,000 USD - $250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate. RTX considers factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, associated responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
