We are seeking an associate behavioral health director who is passionate about community healthcare and can implement the direction and management of the Healthy Steps program, both services and staff.

About the Role As an associate behavioral health director in a Federally Qualified Health Center, you’ll be a forward‑thinking strategic leader, using your analytical skills to implement quality initiatives and provide administrative and clinical oversight for a wide range of patients, including those who are underinsured or uninsured.

You’ll report directly to the behavioral health director and have strong influencing ability in your role. You’ll be a part of an integrated care team dedicated to patient‑centered care for the underserved population, and manage a team of licensed social workers focused on improving the care experience for our patients.

Essential Duties

Manage the Healthy Steps staff.

Oversee Healthy Steps program performance.

Collaborate across clinical departments to ensure an integrated care model.

Provide care as an LCSW.

You will be primarily based at one of our locations, and will occasionally travel to other Neighborhood sites.

Education and Experience

Requires a master’s degree in social work or equivalent from an accredited program and a current, unrestricted New York State social work license, LCSW. Eligibility for FQHC credentialing and participation in federal programs required.

Early childhood and experience with families preferred.

5+ years of clinical experience preferred.

2-5 years of administrative or clinical leadership experience required.

FQHC or healthcare experience preferred.

Compensation $$76,000 – $83,000 (based on a full‑time work week).
