Under radiologist supervision and following established policies, operates MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images. Assists radiologist in protocols, manages patient flow, supports protocol development, and ensures accurate documentation, all while maintaining proper safety standards. Job Responsibilities
Properly identify patient information using two identifiers, complying with National Patient Safety Goals, ARRT Code of Ethics, and Cultural Compass. Perform routine, specialized, emergency, and urgent MRI procedures and provide high quality exams. Maintain knowledge of protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, and pathology to obtain necessary diagnostic information. Operate all assigned MRI equipment proficiently and time‑sensitively. Recognize findings requiring immediate clinical response, notify the radiologist, and verify timely transfer of images to PACS. Manage and coordinate patient flow within the department, including transporting patients. Observe strict MRI safety standards using ACR zoning guidelines. Use proper body mechanics for patient lifting, sliding, and transferring. Accurately input demographic and exam data into computer information systems such as RIS, Synapse, and Radnet. Required Work Experience
Completion of a formal radiologic technology program in an AMA approved school preferred. Must be able to work independently and be self‑motivated. Preferred Work Experience
One year experience on a GE/Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanner. Previous experience with MRI. Education
Associates Degree (Required) Certifications
