Phlebotomist III Float – West Seneca, NY Monday to Friday, hours vary between 4:45 AM to 6:30 PM, with rotational weekends.

Pay range:

$21.70 – $23.98 per hour; eligible for a Float differential of $1.50 added to the base hourly rate. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, and education, with consideration of market and organizational factors. Successful candidates may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities

Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomy duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor's office, or as business needs dictate.

Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing.

Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.

Enter billing information and collect payment when required.

Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees, acting as the point of contact to staff on site and providing regular input to the group lead or supervisor.

Travel to additional doctor's offices or Patient Service Center sites when needed.

Qualifications

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience:

Five years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections; minimum 3 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred; customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred; keyboard/data entry experience.

The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
