Job Title Chronic Care Specialty Sales Representative – Terre Haute, IN (Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp.)

Location & Employment Indianapolis, Indiana, United States – Full Time; Remote: Yes; Start Date: Immediate.

Overview As a Chronic Care Specialty Sales Representative, you will drive meaningful patient impact by leveraging our scientific expertise and serving as the primary contact for customers within your assigned territory. You will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Integrated Delivery Systems leaders, and other field colleagues to deliver seamless, patient‑focused solutions.

Territory Assignment This is a field‑based sales role responsible for covering a specific territory. Travel is approximately 25% of the time and may include overnight travel to support client meetings and ensure comprehensive territory coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a territory‑level business plan in alignment with company policies, standards, and ethics.

Maintain current product knowledge and certifications for the company’s portfolio.

Conduct balanced and compliant product sales discussions with healthcare providers and business professionals to align customer needs with company products according to product labeling.

Provide management with regular updates on customer needs, marketplace dynamics, and progress toward quality goals.

Monitor business performance against objectives using company tools to support effective planning and sales impact.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, military service, or pharmaceutical/biotechnology/medical devices.

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent; High school diploma acceptable with 0‑3 years experience as noted.

Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience using digital tools and platforms to engage with healthcare professionals.

Proven track record of success in educational and professional environments.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to build and maintain customer relationships by understanding and addressing their needs.

Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and customer expectations.

Preferred Experience & Skills

Background in sales, account management, consultative roles, or customer service.

Experience analyzing metrics to evaluate progress toward goals.

Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience, including cardiovascular sales experience with established relationships.

Experience launching products and succeeding in competitive markets.

Ability to simplify complex information and convey technical details clearly.

Proficiency with advanced analytics for customer insights.

Comfortable leveraging multi‑channel tools and technology to expand sales reach.

Proactive learning approach and agile growth mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range (S1): $77,700.00 – $122,300.00.

Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive (if applicable).

Hybrid work model for office‑based positions; field‑based positions remain on‑site.
