Pay Range:

$17.75 - $20.00 per hour

Work Schedule:

Mon – Fri, 8 hours varied 6a-530p, Alternating Saturdays 7a-11a

Work Location:

New Hartford, NY

Benefits:

Employees scheduled for 20+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Flexible Time Off, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled 7 on/7 off are eligible to receive all benefits except PTO/FTO. Employees scheduled 7/7 or less than 20 hours are eligible for 401(k) only.

Incentive Plan:

Qualified phlebotomists may participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, and internal equity and market data.

Job Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.

Enter patient information accurately and timely

Process billing information and collect payments when required

Prepare specimens for testing and analysis

Maintain patient and specimen information logs

Provide superior customer service to all patients

Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Travel to additional sites when needed

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or prior experience as a phlebotomist

Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Reliable transportation required

Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
