Title: Superintendent Reports to: Operations Manager Department: Operations Job Summary: Reports to the Operations manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the various assembly areas, paint, final detail and test. Enforce and demonstrate safe working procedures. Works through the supervisors and leads to address and maintain efficient manpower levels, employee training material issues. Identifies and leads process improvement efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises assigned employees directly or with the assistance of supervisors and lead persons. Sets departmental priorities and assigns tasks.

Reviews and assesses employee performance and issues discipline when necessary.

Ensures all newly hired or newly assigned employees are trained in proper methods of performing various assigned duties.

Assists Operations Manager with administering company attendance and discipline policies.

Trains and enforces safety regulations within areas of responsibility.

Maintains employee accountability for tools, equipment, and other assigned company assets.

Coordinates with other departments to maintain optimal flow of finished products to customers.

Coordinates with Operations Manager, Sales and Shipping to establish truck schedules.

Able to operate a forklift or to be successfully trained to do so.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education High School

Minimum Years of Experience 4-6

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or related preferred.

Familiarity with natural gas fired engines, power generation and/or natural gas compressors preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy

Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies

Demonstrated understanding of process improvement and LEAN principles.

Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

Good math and communication skills

Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, grasp and lift up to 50 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment

Eye Protection consists of goggles, face shield or safety glasses.

Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm. Overtime as needed.
