ABOUT THE ROLE Tina’s Wish is seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive Events Coordinator to support the planning and execution of a robust portfolio of fundraising and cultivation events each year. The Coordinator will ensure seamless event logistics, support operational needs, and help deliver meaningful experiences for donors and participants.
This role offers hands‑on experience in nonprofit event management and a clear pathway for advancement into an Events Associate position for high‑performing team members.
Key Responsibilities Event & Program Coordination
Coordinate all logistics for lab tours, lunch & learns, and Tina’s Wish scientific meetings
Develop event timelines and run‑of‑show documents and maintain organized project tracking to ensure all initiatives stay on schedule and on track
Support event logistics for large special events: registration, name badges, signage, and printing
Provide key support to the Events Team and Executive Director in event planning, board scheduling, and high‑impact special projects
Communicate with vendors, venues, volunteers, speakers, and partners to ensure flawless execution
Provide on‑site event support for New York City events: check‑in, raffle & silent auction assistance
Donor & Community Engagement
Assist with donor engagement initiatives, including materials preparation and follow‑up communications
Support post‑event follow‑up, donor acknowledgment, and reporting
Engage professionally with donors and supporters at all levels, ensuring meaningful interactions that reflect the Tina’s Wish mission and foster lasting relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
1–2 years of experience in events, nonprofit administration, fundraising, or a related field (internships and volunteer experience welcome)
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive, professional, and collaborative work style
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment supporting events of varying sizes
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with donor databases a plus
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and should not require, now or in the future, visa sponsorship
Due to hybrid work schedule, applicants must currently live within a daily commutable distance of Manhattan
WORK SCHEDULE
Hybrid schedule: typically, two (2) days per week in our NYC mid‑town office
Staff are expected to be available Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm EST; additional time may be required for events, deadlines, early mornings, or evenings
Hands‑on involvement is required for NYC events
Travel outside of NYC is not required in Year 1; occasional overnight travel may be required in Year 2 and beyond
