Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchasing Assistant based in Chattanooga, TN. The Purchasing Assistant will assist in managing subcontractors in order to drive construction, handling purchase orders, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. Daily responsibilities include communicating with vendors, ensuring timely order fulfillment, supporting the procurement team, and collaborating with other departments to meet operational needs. Attention to detail and efficiency are key to success in this role.
Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with Purchasing, Purchasing Processes, and Purchase Orders
Proficiency in Procurement practices and procedures
Strong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams
Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with procurement software is a plus
Experience with Marksystems is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience in home building is a must
Previous experience in purchasing or procurement is preferred
