Executive Director – Pegasus Senior Living We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead daily operations, including service provision, financial management, HR, licensure compliance, clinical oversight, sales, marketing, and census development. The Director ensures exceptional quality, outstanding service, resident satisfaction, associate engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results, while complying with all local, state, federal regulations and focusing on safety.

About The Position The Executive Director reports directly to the Regional Vice President of Operations and independently operates a professional property that reflects excellence and a creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the financial performance of the community within the approved budget, meeting and ideally exceeding performance outcomes and company‑targeted operating income.

Build a cohesive team environment that fosters confidence, morale, and high staff retention.

Lead marketing and positioning of the community through personal involvement with strategy and sales initiatives.

Serve as the community’s focal point for senior living in the region, communicating the image and brand.

Develop and maintain positive, service‑focused relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Ensure compliance with state and other government regulations.

Hire, develop, and retain high‑quality multi‑functional teams.

Required Skills, Experiences & Competencies

Sales skills – experience overseeing sales and building a customer service experience, with a track record of generating prospects, using analytics, and closing agreements.

Financial acumen – nimble in managing both top‑line results and expense control, strategically managing pricing to consistently accomplish business goals.

Operational excellence – demonstrates operational excellence by applying company standards while holding the team accountable and successfully managing business cycles and operations.

Industry Experience

5+ years as a senior health‑care or senior‑living General Manager, Executive Director, or equivalent, OR a combination of the following:

Director of Operations overseeing multiple revenue‑generating departments.

Regional Director in the healthcare industry.

Minimum P&L responsibility of $1‑$3 million.

Experience hiring, developing, and retaining large teams.

Leadership Qualities

High judgment and diplomacy – seeks diverse perspectives, manages urgency, and motivates team to higher performance.

Effective, balanced conflict‑resolution experience.

Servant leadership and culture fit – mission‑oriented, purpose‑driven, compassionate, authentic, and tenacious.

Proven ability to hire and develop top talent, fostering a compassionate and motivated front‑line staff.

Education: Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
