Position Overview: Honey Cosmetics is seeking a hands‑on
Sales Manager
to lead sales performance, staff development, and daily store operations across three NYC locations. This role blends
sales leadership, training, and basic managerial oversight , ideal for someone who can coach, motivate, and support small teams while maintaining a positive, polished in‑store environment.
The Sales Manager will rotate between locations, conduct workshops, monitor sales, and step in as
manager‑on‑duty
when present in‑store.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Coaching
Coach teams of up to
5 staff members per location
(15 total across stores)
Guide staff
Product knowledge and service offerings
Add‑on sales and upselling techniques
Client education and confidence‑building
Monitor individual and store‑level sales performance
Set sales goals and support staff in reaching them
Identify sales gaps and implement improvement strategies
Training & Workshops
Fully master all Honey Cosmetics services and products
Lead
In‑store trainings
Group workshops
New product and service launches
Create
PowerPoint / slide presentations
for staff education
Provide clear, repeatable sales scripts and service language
Support onboarding and continued development of staff
Store Rotation & Floor Leadership
Rotate consistently between all three NYC locations
Be present and active on the sales floor during peak hours
Support staff with services and client interactions when needed
Ensure consistency in service quality and sales approach across stores
Manager‑on‑Duty Responsibilities
Coordinate
staff schedules, breaks, and lunch coverage
while in‑store
Maintain a positive store atmosphere by:
Ensuring appropriate music is playing at all times
Monitoring energy, professionalism, and morale
Ensure store standards are upheld
Cleanliness of workstations and common areas
Staff appearance and uniform compliance
Address customer service concerns professionally and calmly
Approve and issue discounts when appropriate, following company guidelines
Escalate higher‑level client issues to ownership or corporate support when needed
Customer Experience & Brand Standards
Ensure every client receives a consistent Honey Cosmetics experience
Step in to resolve service issues before they escalatio
Model exceptional customer service and sales behavior
Protect brand integrity across all locations
Performance Monitoring & Communication
Track sales metrics and staff performance
Share insights and recommendations with leadership
Assist with promotions, sales initiatives, and incentives
Communicate clearly with staff and management across locations
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years experience in
retail sales leadership or store management
Background in beauty, cosmetics, or service‑based retail preferred
Strong sales coaching and team development skills
Comfortable leading workshops and presentations
Proficient in PowerPoint or Google Slides
Professional, calm, and solution‑oriented under pressure
Organized, dependable, and adaptable in a multi‑location environment
