
Associate Program Director - Peconic Bay Medical Center

Overview
Northwell Health is excited to welcome Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physicians to join our team as an Associate Program Director at the Family Medicine Residency Program at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, NY. The Associate Program Director will play a key role in shaping the educational curriculum, working closely with the Program Director and assisting in the day-to-day management of the program. They will ensure the program follows all regulations of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, providing a fertile ground for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities Other key responsibilities of the Associate Program Director will include supervising residents and other trainees, including medical students, caring for patients under the auspices of the Department. They will also coordinate, schedule subspecialty rotations, and coordinate and oversee participation by faculty in the outpatient curriculum. The Associate Program Director will also serve on Hospital committees and perform other medical staff and administrative functions as required.
Hospital Background Founded in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center is the largest hospital in Eastern Suffolk County and the Eastern Hub of Northwell Health. As a non-for-profit 144-bed community hospital, we serve as the primary resource for advanced healthcare services for the 250,000+ residents of the Riverhead area, Eastern Central Suffolk County, and Long Island’s North Fork. We provide our service area’s only Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Suite, Level III Trauma Center, and NYUS-Designated Stroke Center.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
