Athletic Director w/Teaching Duties
Work with high school and middle school principals to streamline corrective actions and maintain, organize and administer the overall program of interscholastic athletics. This position is paired with up to a 0.5 FTE teaching role (health education preferred but not required). Education & Experience
Active Michigan teaching certificate required. Five years of successful experience as a teacher and coach preferred. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administer the middle school and high school athletic program which includes the supervision, hiring and evaluation of coaches as well as the scheduling, organization and supervision of athletic events. Act as the district’s contact for MHSAA and Southwestern Athletic Conference and various non-school youth sports organizations and the Falcon Athletic Boosters. Develop and continue to evaluate appropriate rules and regulations governing the conduct of athletic activities. Foster good school-parent relations by maintaining communications relative to rules and regulations on athletics. Establish and enforce the physical, academic and athletic code requirements of eligibility for participation. Represent school on village parks and recreation commission, Constantine Athletic Hall of Fame and Constantine Fitness Center. Assure the health, safety and welfare of students. Operate technology and a variety of office equipment efficiently and effectively. Assist with monitoring the school budget; order supplies as needed; manage staff and student body accounts as assigned. Other duties as assigned. The Athletic Director is a partial building assignment with other teaching responsibilities. Application Deadline
