Freelance Land Acquisition Consultant – BESS (Germany)
An established European energy storage developer is seeking an experienced Freelance Land Acquisition Consultant to support the expansion of utility‑scale battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Germany.
Scope of Work
Identify, assess and secure suitable land for stand‑alone BESS projects
Engage with landowners, municipalities and local stakeholders
Lead lease and option negotiations through to signing
Support site screening, exclusivity agreements and early‑stage project development
Coordinate with internal development, grid and permitting teams
Ideal Profile
Proven experience in land acquisition for renewable energy or infrastructure projects (BESS, solar, wind or grid assets)
Strong understanding of German land markets and stakeholder dynamics
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Able to operate independently and manage multiple sites in parallel
Fluent in German; English advantageous
Freelance / contract basis
Germany‑wide focus (remote with site visits as required)
