Director, Patient Journey Epic

The Director, Patient Journey Epic leads the design, implementation, management, and ongoing optimization of patient access workflows, including scheduling, registration, financial clearance, and patient engagement, with a strong emphasis on Epic system functionality. This leader will have oversight for the Epic modules supporting the patient journey inclusive of Cadence, Prelude, Hello World, Cheers, and MyChart. They work closely with clinical staff, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the system meets the needs of patients in health care providers. The leader will ensure a seamless, efficient patient journey, balancing patient experience, operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, in clinical workflows across the organization. Additionally, they analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the patient journey within the healthcare organization. Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or Health Care Administration) Preferred Education

Master’s degree (Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or Informatics) Minimum experience required

10 years in healthcare IT, with 8+ years of experience with Epic 5 years of leadership experience Minimum skills, Specialized Training Required

Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Experience with vendor management and project portfolio management Excellent analytical skills; ability to interpret metrics and translate into action Preferred experience

Strong systems implementation and integration experience Epic certifications in relevant modules preferred. Deep domain knowledge of Epic front end modules (Cadence, Prelude, HelloWorld, Cheers)
