Louisville, KY – On‑Site Somali Interpreter
Language Services Associates is looking for Somali interpreters in the Louisville, KY area. As a member of LSA’s network of independently contracted interpreters, you will facilitate language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in settings such as medical, legal and customer service. LSA continuously accepts qualified interpreters for a wide range of assignments.
Responsibilities
Provide superior customer service.
Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct, maintaining strict confidentiality.
Follow all policies, procedures, interpretation protocols and industry best practices.
Complete required training and participate in ongoing quality assurance monitoring.
Qualifications / Experience
Full fluency in English and Somali.
Familiarity with industry standard best practices (professionalism, courtesy, protocol, confidentiality).
Ability to provide a high level of client service.
Access to personal or public transportation.
2+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred.
Industry specific certifications or training preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.).
