Regional Sales Manager Position Summary:
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Business Sales Consultants (BC’s), inspiring and motivating them to sell PEO services to small and mid‑size companies in their set territory.
Essential Job Functions:
Work with internal recruiting to cultivate a list of potential BC’s to ensure the team remains fully staffed
Create a culture of collaboration to combine skills and achieve greater results for the organization
Work with BC’s to properly pre‑plan and execute field sales calls
Perform post call analysis and develop go forward strategy with BC’s
Help BC’s build proposals tailored specifically around the prospect's key needs
Ensure BC’s track a prospect's progress routinely in SFDC and keep information up to date
Monitor BC’s performance to consistently achieve/exceed required minimum activity of 16 initial appointments, 4 RFP’s and 1 closed deal per month
Develop effective relationships with centers of influence to supplement lead sources
Achieve and exceed quota assignments
Develop BC’s knowledge of PEO sales so they continue to grow and achieve new heights
Accurately forecast month to month business in SFDC
Motivate positive performance in all team members and support them taking initiative and accepting responsibility
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical discipline and / or equivalent experience in related field
A past history of B2B sales success
3+ years documented, successful sales management experience with year over year growth
Ability to deal with employees in an efficient and professional manner
Communication skills – ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally
Interpersonal skills – cooperative, courteous, flexible and good natured
Effective work skills – conscientious, persistent, resourceful, productive and active
Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships
Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Required Skills and Experience:
2 years minimum high‑volume payroll experience.
Understanding of payroll laws and multi‑state payroll laws, rules of over‑time, etc.
Strong clerical skills with good verbal and written communication.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work accurately and quickly under company deadlines.
Ability to deal with clients and employees in an efficient and professional manner.
Must possess the ability to evaluate situations and provide expedient resolutions.
