ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs complex duties in repair, maintenance, and installation of plumbing systems and backflow prevention devices.
Recommends energy‑saving changes.
Installs, maintains, and repairs fire sprinkler and irrigation systems.
Oversees operation of steam boiler plants.
Works with engineers/contractors on new system design, troubleshooting, testing, and startup.
Follows plumbing codes and regulations to ensure inspections pass.
PREFERENCES Preference for candidates with a Journeyman Plumber license plus licensed backflow prevention testing and fire sprinkler system experience.
KNOWLEDGE
Plumbing system maintenance and repairs
State and local plumbing codes
Multiple source heating & hydronic systems and applications
Accepted practices, methods, and tools for installing, monitoring, and repairing plumbing equipment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 0‑1 year of progressive plumbing experience, or 3‑4 years of progressive plumbing experience as substitution.
Certificates, licenses, registrations: None
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Work outside in all weather conditions
Work in tight, confined spaces
Work comfortably at a variety of heights
Walk great distances throughout the facility
