Position Overview

The

Account Manager

is responsible for managing a portfolio of employer‑group clients and coordinating the strategy, execution, and performance of cost containment programs. This role requires strong communication skills, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of employee benefits—particularly in areas related to claims analysis, pharmacy and medical cost drivers, alternative funding, and vendor performance.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service and proactive communication.

Participate in regular client meetings to review plan performance, cost containment opportunities, and strategic recommendations.

Understand each client's business objectives, culture, and benefits goals to tailor services accordingly.

Coordinate implementation and ongoing oversight of cost containment programs and third‑party vendors.

Manage timelines, deliverables, renewals, open enrollment activities, and compliance requirements.

Ensure seamless collaboration with internal teams (analytics, compliance, clinical, underwriting, client services).

Identify opportunities to expand client engagement and introduce additional consulting services or solutions.

Support RFP responses and lead client‑specific testing of new programs or initiatives.

Maintain a high level of client satisfaction to drive renewals and long‑term relationships.

Qualifications

Mid‑Senior level experience in sales and business development within the employee benefits consulting space.

Full‑time commitment.

Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.

Knowledge of claims analysis, pharmacy cost drivers, and vendor management.

Experience working with employer‑group clients.
