We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Account Executive to join our NARF sales team leading our Western U.S. market. You will uncover opportunities, deepen customer relationships, drive distribution, and influence results. This is your chance to shape how we partner with retailers and distributors to deliver best‑in‑class solutions and drive incremental category results.
Key Accountabilities
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, multi-layered business relationships with assigned retail chains and distributors, including Albertsons, Smith’s, Bashas, Winco, Associated Foods, Foodland, Sprouts, and many others.
Selling Expertise, Leadership, Engaging Leader:
Develop and maintain effective customer relationships at both HQ/Corporate (leadership level) and regional levels.
Understand Retailer/Distributor needs and link them to our products, capabilities, and service strategies to develop mutually beneficial business plans.
Lead a strong brokerage sales team by building collaborative strategic plans, setting targets, providing training, and conducting regular performance and objective reviews.
Model Engaging Leader behaviors to foster an inclusive environment, embrace a learning mindset, and demonstrate personal accountability.
Sales Execution Excellence:
Achieves annual sales targets.
Takes personal accountability and ownership for results, works to deeply understand competitive market, customers & consumers.
Develop and lead Retailer/Distributor and broker strategies to accelerate new item distribution on breads/rolls and FBG while successfully exceeding volume targets.
Planning & Forecasting:
Accountable for business forecasting and monthly MBR to provide DR narrative.
Explore and partner with strategic retailers to drive differential results by leveraging key levers to grow the business (E-Com, Digital, CI, etc.).
Leverage national category management selling stories to drive GMI growth and distribution.
Leverage enterprise‑wide problem‑solving tools and stakeholders to address business problems.
Trade:
Drive trade efficiency by developing, interpreting, and applying promotion analysis insights. Adhere to trade budget/spend.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop best‑in‑class promotional offers that reflect national trade strategies.
Be a source of field‑based information, insights, and best practices for customers, peers, and internal support teams within NAF.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of successful NAF or NAR sales or equivalent business‑to‑business sales experience.
Self‑starter with ability to maintain workload from remote office (Estimated travel 40% across Western USA).
Record of delivering results.
Experience working with & influencing cross‑functional teams.
Strategic Business Development, Strong Communication and Collaboration skills.
Executive Presence.
Ability to thrive in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of successful Foodservice or Retail sales or equivalent business‑to‑business sales experience.
Record of winning beyond what the job might be.
Influence & negotiations skills (internal and external).
Broker management experience.
Systems experience (Salesforce, Tableau, CTM, Nielsen, Sales Volume, etc.).
Working knowledge of customer service, logistics/transportation, and supply chain.
Culinary experience handling/producing products in customer retail bakeries or production facilities is a plus; work involves occasionally lifting 30‑50 lb. cases.
