Job Overview Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads, representing Western Elite on Community Committees, and being an effective account manager to existing customers.
Principal Responsibilities
Grow new business through prospecting, cold-calling, networking and referrals.
Manage the complete sales process including quoting, closing, sending contracts for e-signature, and processing payments.
Nurture existing business relationships with vendors and customers to maximize revenue and profit margins.
Negotiate appointments with clients and vendors.
Maintain continuous communication with vendors and customers to ensure a high-quality experience.
Ensure and oversee proper service coordination which adds to the client’s expectations.
Communicate between teams and customers to ensure WOW service.
Maintain and update accurate information in salesforce.
Consistently completes scheduled phone block. Including, cold call prospecting, appointment setting, customer thank you calls and dumpster inventory “check in’s.”
Develops and maintains an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends in designated markets to anticipate changing customer needs.
Leverages expert knowledge of company services and pricing to provide comprehensive waste management solutions, driving profitable revenue growth across all client sectors.
Completes required Customer Service Agreements, reports and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy.
Regularly meets with Sales Leadership to review weekly customer retention and relationship activities, progress versus goals and status of key customer relationships.
Builds relationships and increases Company visibility through participation in Company-sponsored activities as required; attends trade shows, chamber of commerce events and other events, as necessary. Acts as a Company representative at community events, where required.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of relevant sales experience.
Minimum of 2 years of direct selling experience in a customer‑facing role that includes identifying and addressing customer needs.
Valid driver’s license.
Proven ability to prospect, close, and manage accounts.
Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
Self‑motivated, disciplined, and competitive mindset.
