Outside Sales (Residential Door-to-Door) Representative – This role focuses on meeting new people, helping clients save money by unbundling expensive cable, internet, and phone bills, and driving fiber optics service expansion into new areas.
Job Description Responsible for the sale of GONETSPEED products and services including Fiber Internet, Home Phone, and DTV Streaming to residential customers. Utilize product knowledge and sales process to meet and exceed monthly goals by working effectively and efficiently in an assigned turf area.
Core Responsibilities
Engage and acquire new customers and close sales opportunities through door‑to‑door sales.
Identify and target potential customers within designated towns/cities.
Communicate and develop rapport with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
Maintain detailed knowledge of product features, benefits, differences, pricing, and campaigns, including comparison with competition.
Evaluate customer existing and potential product needs and make recommendations.
Maintain sales production to meet or exceed individual quotas.
Represent the company at community events in targeted markets.
Requirements
Experience in direct sales, preferably in door‑to‑door sales, is nice to have but not necessary.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Must be able to work outside in any weather environment.
Must be available to work between 10 AM and 7 PM, equaling 40 hours per week.
Results‑driven, self‑motivated, and able to work independently; excellent attendance is a must.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required; local travel to prospecting locations in your own vehicle (mileage allowance provided).
Familiarity with the telecommunications or broadband industry and competitive landscape is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Enthusiastic learner of all company products and services.
Ability to represent oneself and the company professionally and ethically.
Strong in‑person communication skills for face‑to‑face cold selling.
Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple work assignments and projects effectively.
Make sound decisions using available information.
Physical Requirements
Read computer screens and reports (75‑100%).
Hear well enough to communicate with employees and business contacts (75‑100%).
Write, type, and use phone system (75‑100%).
Frequent standing, walking, and stair climbing required (75‑100%).
Occasional stooping and kneeling (25‑49%).
Occasional lifting, pulling, and pushing (25‑49%).

$35,000
plus uncapped commission
Total Target Compensation:
$70,000 – $125,000
